Children are as much a part of the church family at St Andrew’s and have as much to bring to church life as the ‘grown-ups’ do. We call it ‘No shush church’.
After a time of worship, the children transition to the hall for the rest of the service for games, crafts, and stories from the bible. At St Andrew’s we love not only to speak and sing to God, but also to listen to the good things He has to say to us, so we also practice listening to Him and sensing His love for us in our children’s group. If your child has any special needs just drop us an email before your visit so we can tailor the session in a way that means they can enjoy it just as much.
Tuesday mornings 10am - 11:30am is our term time Toddler club. See our What's On page for more details. 'A Place Of Welcome' runs on Tuesday afternoons, 1:30pm - 3:30pm. This is a warm, welcoming place to come for a friendly face, a cup of tea, and a conversation if needed. This is open at the same time each week for all ages and includes a small kids corner for those with young children.
Throughout the year we run fun events for families in the local community to enjoy together - and don’t we all need it. A summer picnic, a Light Party at Halloween, Christmas Christingles, and an Easter Pancake Party are some examples of our family events. Follow us on Facebook or check this website for upcoming events.
If you are connected to a local school, then please get in touch. We would love to support and encourage the staff, children and the families that together make up your school community. Assemblies, Parent Support Groups and Prayer & Reflection Workshops are just some of the ways we can help or enrich, so reach out!
